Does same resolution look different of different screen sizes? Pls answer!

moving windows mac. want same size of on screen (same text/font size, same icon size etc.). have 13" mbp 2017 , plan return because small screen/small text/small screen bothers me , 15" mbp 2017 can same size used of (hp probook 15.6"). mbp 2017 15" 15.3" guess 0.6" won't make difference.

resolution had on hp 1388x768. understand can't same on mbp 15". closest similar can 1280x800. i'm using 13" mbp @ resolution things still small - while can zoom in while using browser, can't while using apps such photoshop, final cut, utorrent , text appear small me on these apps.

so question is, 1280x800 on 15" mbp same 13" mbp or text size , else size bigger on 15" while using same resolution on 13"?

again, purpose of returning 13" , getting 15" can have text size , everything-else-on-screen size similar hp 1388x768 15.6" screen possible.

unfortunately, no apple stores live can't check out mbps on display can @ apple store. have make sure of before return 13".
