i downloaded high sierra update app store on mac pro running sierra. after few seconds, 19.7mb "install macos high sierra.app" file downloaded applications folder. after running installer, downloaded 10 minutes , displayed "ready install" window. however, @ point, installer file in applications folder still 19.7mb. expecting full installer usual, copy before continuing upgrade (i'm upgrading several macs , want 10.13.1 installer file). on mac can find full 10.13.1 installer file, or have changed behavior time around 19.7mb "pre-installer" available? also, 10.13.1 file not yet available @ https://support.apple.com/en_us/downloads .   very strange. downloaded entire 5gb file on macbook pro less 30 minutes ago app store. installed (from previous beta), rebooted, , installer removed. did try direct link file forum?

hi everyone, little bit of background - purchased certified refurbished iphone 6s , had phone month. after getting hairline crack in phone took local shop screen , battery replaced. replaced both , @ first there slight issue screen come white lines , touch stop working. pressed around screen , seemed temporarily fix issue. planning on taking phone in issue resolved before 1 day after repair plugged in aux cord , screen flashed black , nothing work (forced reboot, restore on iphone etc). took phone , after dodging calls 3 weeks told motherboard fried due pre-existing short circuit , have pay anymore repairs , repair shop not responsible preexisting condition on phone , had nothing due screen , battery. sounds bs me - guys think? thank in advance   is apple authorized repair centre? if so, file official complaint apple. if not, out of luck.   Forum

ok. here go ... i working , xcel kept closing. so, did hard restart. nothing. no response. then did again while holding down command + r. when taken disk utility, tried reinstall os only, indicated both disks locked. (2 partitioned drives) i read online turning on journaling option greyed out. other things read sounded complicated , out of depth. i not want erase disk if possible. (fyi, niece's laptop before died. partitioned not know with.) would appreciate insights may have. called repair place after calling apple, closed. had leave message. after speaking apple care rep gently scolded me having lion on machine , not 1 of recent updates. tried wasn't sure older, early-2011 machine running lion 10.7.5. got stumped both disks being locked. gave me number repair place. not have time machine enabled. have terrabyte drive copied folders , photos 2-3 months ago @ least. so, i'm trying resolve without erasing drive if possible.
