recently, reset iphone (7, ios 11.2.1) factory settings, when documents & data size starts getting crazy. usual, made backup before reformatting device. however, my backup disappeared . not on itunes, or anywhere in laptop. in case, reason, backup never made, tried running recovery softwares find any of old files, no such luck. ran five recovery softwares already. there still way me data back? thanks! (edit) seems i've overwritten files. accident, after factory reset, loaded old backup onto phone. when realised happened, reset phone again, time setting new phone. no longer optimistic files can still recovered. instead, i'd know setting should've used after reset could've still retrieved data?) (ps: yes, i've tried googling , youtubing problem, none of solutions, e.g., recovery software, manually looking folders, turned results.)   do use tm? if can recover files. if not

i have 2011 macbook pro 13". i've made regular, heavy, daily use of years - few problems , none can recall past 6 months. used last night, morning not wake sleep , not boot. i've spent day searching solutions. there's no external reason fail (it wasn't dropped, didn't have liquid spilled on it, has not been subject extreme heat or cold). in fact because use external keyboard , monitor touch it. purposes of diagnostics, have disconnected external cables , devices - exception of power cable (as noted below). symptoms: when power button pressed, hard drive spins , all. - display remains dark - dvd drive not respond - there no startup chime - keyboard not light - "sleep" light on front of chassis remains dark have tried resetting smc , pram smc tried booting ctl-option-shift-cmd pressed. tried disconnecting battery , charger, pressing power button 30 seconds, reconnecting charger. on restart, sometimes hard

this 2 fold question. end goal have seamless sharing capabilities of home videos , pictures wife , kids use it. our home library has 16000 pictures , 2000 home videos. have been using old school cataloging method chronologically creating folders individual evens outlined below: 12-31-2016 new years eve 11-10-2017 weekend in wis dells 12-01-2017 random december'17 12-24-2017 christmas eve same structure applies videos, in different root folder. photos app best way handle such workload? concerned loose control on how things cataloged since no longer have things in folders. might not issue recent pictures or videos, files 2001 going problem since time/date stamps not correct. seems itunes has quick function share photos apple tv including videos? better solution perhaps? not sure if need recatalog make work smoothly. appreciate input on matter. curious methods or combinations of solutions people use manage home media this. thanks!

hello, got new lg 5k 27", after calibration display. best out there 5k imac. heres problem find native resolution 2560x1440 make abit small im using 2048x1152 or 2304x1296 everythings become little more blurry native, odd me though 2048x1152 given option in system preferences doesnt optimize sharpness. technically know should possible due monitor supporting 5k had same issue older thunderbolt display managed create custom resolution (2048x1152) in switchresx generated crisp sharpness. facing similar issue and/or know solution this?   it's because uneven scaling factor. 5120x2880 display suitably scale "looks like" 2560x1440 (default) or 1280x720 (massive). high sierra has font smoothing bugs; might you're noticing, @ non-default resolution.   Forums Macs

after using iphone 8 plus few days noticed phone stays on lock screen when press home button wake , unlock it. i'm used unlocking ipad pro way , why noticed difference on 8 plus. ipad pro manage unlock way, iphone 8+ stays locked lot more often. never says "try again" on 8 plus, means weren't failed scans, rather sensor has not performed scan yet, since have tried unregistered fingers , no "try again" comes either. have tried cleaning sensor, cleaning fingers, resetting touch id , re-scanning fingers , force restart, none of helped. ipad pro running 10.3.3 iphone 8 plus running 11.1.1 (if matters) else having similar experience? or thoughts in general? hello all, got x yesterday, i'm liking it... question wireless charging though. bought belkin wireless charger, , on nightstand. noticed last night, @ least twice (because woke me up) phone did subtle ding sound placed on charger (the sound iphones have made when plugged in). assume happening phone charged, stops... battery naturally falls below 99 or 98% starts charging again. there way prevent happening? not worried effect on health of battery (although not great cycle between 98 , 100% charged several times overnight), don't want awoken ding every night...   hmm. have $15 wireless charger amazon, , doesn’t happen. sounds issue charger or phone. maybe have thick case on phone or wasn’t centered on pad?   Forums iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch iPhone
