Apple Releases Second Beta of macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 for Public Beta Testers

apple afternoon released second beta of upcoming macos high sierra 10.13.2 update public beta testers testing purposes, 1 week after releasing first public beta , more month after releasing high sierra operating system. second public beta of macos high sierra identical second developer beta provided developers earlier week.

beta testers have signed apple's beta testing program able download new macos high sierra beta through software update mechanism in mac app store.

want part of apple's beta testing program can sign participate through the beta testing website, gives users access ios, macos, , tvos betas.

macos high sierra 10.13.2 appears focus on bug fixes, performance improvements, security enhancements, , other under-the-hood updates. no major outward-facing features found in first 2 developer betas.

previous update, macos high sierra 10.13.1, addressed serious wpa 2 vulnerability , introduced new emoji.

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
