Desktop slow to refresh

here's weird 1 you.

ever since updating high sierra have had problem desktop being slow refresh. when take screenshot or save desktop takes anywhere 10 60+ seconds item show up. if create folder or drag file desktop finder shows immediately. if same thing in path finder or through terminal, it's delayed. applies both creating , deleting items outside of finder.

have tried far:

• restoring finder deleting it's preference file
• verifying disk , filesystem
• cleaning caches onyx

none of these things have made improvements.

see if it's problem on system or user account level, created account , tested there, , no problem! it's account has problem. there's issue may related: when delete stuff external drives, trash can show has contents in it, when opening in finder, there's nothing there. have eject , remount drives trashes show , deleted. true both old drives , brand new drives newly formatted.

so question is:

has else has issue, , solved it? if so, how solved?
have clue service responsible updating finder file changes? if try clearing more preference files , see if helps.

appreciated. don't want start on new account.
