Torn between air 2 or 2017 9.7 inch


i in market cellular ipad, upgrading wifi version. have wifi air 2 32gb , love it. question is, 2017 9.7" ipad cellular 32gb $389 or ipad air 2 cellular 64gb $489? screen better on air 2, how it's smaller , lighter. main thing designed apple smart case , there not 1 2017 ipad. tried cheap amazon alternatives , aren't same quality. stupid pay $100 more has 2-3 years older technology inside?

edit: know a8x 1 year older hardware a9, maybe doesn't make seem older?
 

it’s difficult choice because whilst a9 won’t faster a8x, 2017 ipad supported longer more of return on investment.

owned ipad air 2. it’s fantastic device , besides difference in software support think ipad air 2 better device overall.

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
