Apple Announces New Swift Coding Initiative for Nearly 500,000 Students in City of Chicago

apple on tuesday announced working bring coding opportunities half million students in city of chicago, through expansion of company's everyone can code program.

swift-centered coding initiative has been designed in collaboration mayor's office of chicago, chicago public schools, city colleges of chicago, local businesses , non-profit organizations.

starting in spring, chicago public schools , city colleges of chicago expand can code curriculum , materials, while city colleges of chicago offer the app development swift curriculum first time, helping students build skills around coding , app development.

chicago public schools offer new swift coding clubs, according apple, bringing coding education after-school programs. clubs aim guide students through key coding concepts, introduce them swift , walk them through app design , prototyping project.

several businesses operating in area making volunteer opportunities available chicago-based employees support students. companies include ge transportation, ibm, jellyvision, lextech, mcdonald's, rush university medical center, ulta beauty, , united airlines.

over last 2 years, apple has promoted swift programming language ideal keen code has no previous computing experience. in 2016, released swift playgrounds, app aimed @ teaching both children , adults how code through simple interactive coding exercises, meant make learning code "easy , fun" everyone.

i'm 3rd year computer science student , know java , c++ , have started dipping toes swift. recommend students learn java or c language first. swift dumbed down far syntax goes you'll have hard time going swift c language.

when go c language swift understand shortcuts swift taking you/what it's doing in background don't have code. can't same going swift c language or java.

OWC Envoy Pro SSD Enclosure - Alternatives?
