Mice to use with 4K-5K monitors

hello, plan buy 34-43" lcd monitor year. 4k or 5k depending on come out (probably new lg 34" ultrawide 2018, lg 43ud79-b or to-be-updated model). somewhere read high dpi mice recommended use 4k/5k monitors due large screen resolutions. right? logitech anywhere mx 2/2s , ergo enough? 1 thing anywhere series can used on surfaces including glass.

anywhere mx 2: 400 1600 dpi normal value of 1000 dpi
anywhere mx 2s: 200-4000 dpi nominal value of 1000 dpi
ergo: 320-400 dpi nominal value of 380dpi

knows why ergo has lower dpi? because of different mechanism (trackball)? dpi of trackball mice equivalent dpi of typical wireless mice?

the dpi of mouse has nothing screen size or resolution. can safely mouse wish. being said, higher dpi mouse give smoother , more accurate experience no matter size monitor have.

dpi of ergo higher current imac 27" 5k retina display @ resolution of 5120x2880—which highest resolution , dpi of consumer display on market. dpi (or more specifically, ppi) 218.

again, means nothing in relation mouse. means if set software photoshop show image @ 218 dpi exactly, 1 inch on screen 1 inch on paper well. in theory, if found mouse 218dpi, moving 1 inch on desk move 1 inch on screen.

the simple explanation higher dpi mouse means moves cursor on screen more precisely little know lag. 1,000+ dpi mice move lot more precisely, particularly when moving fast or slow!

can make difference in tracking going laser mouse rather typical (cheaper) optical mouse, ergo uses.
