Carrier technical support


if have call carrier technical support watch, make sure ask specific “apple watch technical support” department. cellular watch number left in limbo after recent switch at&t verizon (yes, greater or lesser of 2 evils, depending on point of view). ten hours of 3 in-store visits , on-call , forths people have no idea they’re dealing with, plus 2 non call-backs rep of apple , at&t (the former of whom can’t blame giving up).

finally, last night, called apple in bid return watch replacement (using lack of physical sim card hopeful out). senior advisor, adept @ making me divert blame carrier, explained specific department mentioned above.

final call, 5 minutes in duration, , watch’s cellular data active.

Other Unknown error

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
