6s goes from 100% to 30% in cold weather

hey guys, 6s goes 100% 30% in thirty minutes when exposed cold temperature, happens extremely rarely. how possible? there way prevent happening?

is there phone operates in cold temperatures won't drain battery life? thinking getting cat s41, not sure.

 

cold weather , batteries don't mix well. said, weaker battery suffer more battery can maintain it's full theoretical charge capacity. if battery more year old, may weak.
