Love OSX, hate the new Macbooks. What's the best way to still make Mac my main platform?

hi all,

"upgraded" 2013 macbook air 2017 macbook pro. "upgraded", because feels more sidegrade. screen wonderful , speakers more so, can't life of me understand why had change keyboard , rid of usb ports sake of couple of mm of thickness.

anyway, that's not point.

i'm considering how still make mac main machine, , see it, have 3 options:

  • the cheapest (mac mini, 2014, 700 euro 1 tb fusion drive , 8 gb)

  • the performance oriented (imac 5k, 2100 euro, 1 tb fusion drive, upgradable 8 gb ram , rx575)

  • the mobile 1 (macbook pro 2015, 15", 1900 euro)
if weren't price, i'd prefer latter option, 2015 macbook pros hard find. cheapest 1 uk import, , then, it's quite expensive.

feels weird getting computer that's couple of years old, that's point in favour of imac. can't ever use 1 out of house , don't idea of being tied desk time...

@ least mac mini, take me when visit parents etc.

guys go with?

what kind of work, or activities, do use mac for?

did consider getting imac , ipad when visit parents?

wouldn't buy mini, it's outrageous still selling machine @ price 4 years after last update. also, on aspects, 2014 less powerful 2012.
