What things prove your MBP is actually brand new?
not putting in "i bought thread" because have few questions ask. bought brand new mbp 2017 how make sure brand new. mbs not sold officially here - no apple store. computer sellers import mbs , sell. want make sure mbp brand new. few things make me suspicious follows:
1) estimated expiration dates:
phone support ends on jan 29, 2018 (makes sense if apple offers 3 months)
repairs , service coverage ends on september 16, 2018 (shouldn't full 1 year?)
2) health information > cycle count: 2 (shouldn't 0 right now?)
3) battery charge @ 15% when first booted. normal?
4) model no. of charger not match model number of mbp. normal or not?
these 2 things knew check see if machine brand new. don't know of else check.
so... normal brand new mbp?
was cellophane sealed?
it should year, depend on when declared apple sold. if bought unofficial reseller, september 16/17 moment unofficial reseller bought , how long warranty be.
no, normal have few cycles. long under around 10 new battery. tested before leaving factory. i've never had macbook show 0 when new (and i've had lot of macbooks...)
lower normal, depends on when manufactured. if post fourth , fifth characters of there serial number can tell when made (fourth indicates year, fifth indicates week).
