Considering the 13inch pro for the first time

i bought 15inch rmbp went 15inch in 2012 , did same in 2014
have 2 reasons why 13 inch laptop shouldnt called pro
1.the gpu in them irrelevant of 2017
2.i use logic x maschine studio , komplete kontrol , kontakt libraries , gaming on bootcamp side

situations has changed im medical student 1st generation ipad pro works fine pdfs powerpoint intensive apps complete anatomy or medical dictionaries

im producer , want mixing in break times (well thats maybe 2 hours of break time everyday)
want able take heavy projects 5k imac , mixing on go (yeah funny mix on earpods!)

, since there no reason medical student should bring laptop university(well no 1 in university)
dont want chunky top end 15inch rmbp mixing on go
know,its stupid if bring 15inch rmbp place gonna seem wanna show off or sth thats not case me cause had 15 inchs in 2012 (i know im saying gonna sound wierd,cause culture stupid culture in country )
since never had 13 inch pros have questions:

1. worth 1/5-2k?
thing has no real gpu , im not sure wether can handle logic since have 2017 5k imac , mid 2014 retina macbookpro , both run high end i7 quad cores have no idea how dual core i5 perform...
, forgot when im mixing wont bouncing in place audiofiles might want change notes in mixing process wont that.
2.is 13 inch model less eyecatching 15inch?
3.is more portable?
4.i cant customized versions or highend versions cause man,the high end ones cost same base 15inch
still worth heavy projects?(i wont connecting mashine studio studio related hardware connected 5k imac)
5.is worth wait 2018 update? wont waiting longer 2-3month
6.im buying 128gb ssd "multiple versions of last logic x projects" im saving last logic projects can plug in imac or rmbp , move between machines flawlessly
sothe question : external ssd (sony 128ssd 450mb/s write speed) provide sufficient performance machine studio on 5k imac or mixing on 13inh pro im concerned latency

forgot mention 3tb fusion drive causes lag while zooming , scrolling in logic while slower 2014rmbp has no lags in logic
think external ssd fix buggy logic performace?
7.and last question:
cpu recommend use base nontouchbar model enough?(i wouldnt cause need 256gb @ least question cpu)

sorry being long guys these questions ill have answer before spend savings on new mac
