This disaster may ultimately be a good thing

ios 11 (and high sierra) synonymous failure. there's been headline bugs - in both, root, notifications, calculator, battery life, predictive keyboard. there's been update after update- 8 in little on 2 months (remember average user isn't doesn't excited updates, find them annoying).

, that's stuff that's made news - every user has had put $600-$1000 device lagging - 3d touch lag, home button lag, scrolling lag, horrible battery life on newest devices. inconsistencies - ios 11.2 , big word "inbox" etc in mail example still isn't aligned search bar.

features dropped - 3d touch app switcher, apple pay cash (the headline feature in 11.2, not in 11.2 on launch!!!), imessages in cloud, swipe down spotlight search left-of-home-screen widgets - delayed, or gone.

thought there ios 10 problems - without knowing come, think there'd fewer complaints if going level this.

surely disaster can thing ios 12 , macos 10.14. surely tim not let happen again. normal bugs can accept, showstoppers, slop, unfinished, missing features continue pain release 8 updates in.

tldr: ios 11 has been unmitigated disaster, surely apple can't afford let ios 12 bad.
