apple pay cash, apple's peer-to-peer payments service, became available developers , public beta testers in united states morning release of second ios 11.2 public beta.

setting apple pay cash

open wallet app.

tap on apple pay cash card appears there.

apple walk through setup process, , ask if want enable apple pay.

you'll directed settings app confirm information. there, apple pay cash take few seconds activate.

once activated, apple pay cash card appear in wallet , you'll able access apple pay cash in wallet app.

alternatively, can use settings app enable apple pay cash. go settings > wallet > apple pay > apple pay cash , tap button toggle on. option won't show until it's been activated through wallet app, though.

sending , requesting payment

open conversation in messages.

tap messages app store icon.

choose "apple pay" icon.

tap "+" or "-" buttons enter amount, or use keyboard.

tap "request" or "pay."

you'll have option preview payment or request payment.

press blue arrow button send.

when sending payment, money you've sent listed "pending" in wallet app until person on receiving end accepts. once accepted, payment listed in "last transaction" under apple pay cash card in wallet. while still pending, payment can cancelled.

money you're sending pulled linked debit/credit card or apple pay cash card if you've added funds card or received funds other people. if send money using apple pay cash card or debit card, there's no charge. credit card, there's 3% fee.

when accepting payment, cash added apple pay cash card in wallet app. there, can used make purchases apple pay accepted other card or can transferred connected bank account.

apple pay cash works in conversation single person. option won't available group messages.

sending money via siri

activate siri.

tell siri send payment. example: "send $1 eric."

if multiple payment apps installed, you'll need confirm want use apple pay.

unlock iphone using face id or touch id.

tap "send."

double click side button pay on iphone x or put finger on touch id home button confirm payment on other devices.

changing apple pay cash settings

can access apple pay settings in settings app or through wallet app.

open settings.

go wallet , apple pay.

tap on "apple pay cash" card.

from interface, can add money apple pay cash card, transfer cash bank (which requires adding bank account) , choose automatically or manually accept payments.

verify identity

once you've sent or received combined $500 apple pay cash, need verify identity. identity verification available in settings app, may not functional @ time.

you asked confirm legal name , address, along last 4 digits of social security number , date of birth. apple ask questions related personal history , request photo of driver's license or state id card.

there limits on amount of money can send per day , per transaction, , amount of money can add apple pay cash card.

when sending or receiving money, can send/receive minimum of $1 , maximum of $3,000. on course of 7-day period, can send/receive $10,000.
