Nintendo Looking for Additional Mobile Software Developers After DeNA Partnership Falls Behind Schedule

nintendo looking hire more software developers create mobile video games in vein of super mario run , animal crossing: pocket camp. according people familiar matter speaking the wall street journal, nintendo has decided expand roster of smartphone game developers after partnership dena "fell behind schedule."

nintendo , dena first announced partnership in march 2015, , few months later in may 2015 explained schedule: companies release first ios game year, , 5 more before march 2017. october 2015, first nintendo mobile app -- miitomo -- pushed 2016, marking first delay of company's long term smartphone strategy release plan.

eventually, miitomo launched in march 2016, super mario run launched in december 2016, fire emblem heroes launched in february 2017, , animal crossing: pocket camp just launched in november 2017. besides super mario run, every mobile game released nintendo , made dena delayed @ point.

now, nintendo looking introduce new collaborations other software developers , "raise pace of new titles" these games don't face heavy delays did previously. while nintendo took 10 percent ownership stake in dena when partnered company, sources knowledgeable of new plan stated "isn't planning" again new developer partners.
potential new developers include gungho online entertainment inc., created mobile game puzzle & dragons. dena, company ceo isao moriyasu has said developer "has more smartphone games in pipeline" in partnership nintendo, , both companies plan "continue relationship."

kind of doubt they'd consider me given how many other indies seem getting switch sdks...
