hi,
have 2016 macbook pro 13' touch bar base model + 16gb ram model use main computer. however, feels "sluggish" when using ide's, , when connecting second monitor.
keyboard horrific, , i'm on 3rd, after 2 others have had keyboards broken. (this 1 well, not bad enough bother exchanging it. might add 1 of replacements because macbook overheated when process running @ 100% long in background, without knowledge.)
think it's time update, don't know if should:
1.
go specced out 15' macbook pro + 3 monitors, using macbook "as desktop" , bringing me if can't use 13'.
2.
base imac pro (maybe 64gb ram) + 3 monitors
plan on switching out imac pro/macbook pro mac pro if/when comes out, , sell / use imac/macbook somewhere else
don't having different sized/shaped monitors on same computer, disrupts workflow, change out.
- digression; know can expect selling 1-2 yr old imac pro base model vs. 1-2 yr old specced out macbook pro? wouldn't surprised if redesigned macbook pro time well..
use-case webstrom, pycharm, intellij etc. no video editing, , use cloud servers heavy workloads.
can expect "sluggishness" of using ide compared text editor disappear completely, or there no matter do?
regards,
hans
go macbook pro 15 tb 2017 - full specs - if need right nice , capable machine (& portable), imac pro / mac pro waste of money , computer resources, if dont heavy graphical work or gpu orientate complex scientific software. use case dont see need more 4 cores , 16gb of ram. if can wait, perhaps new mbp 2018 arrive 32gb option (and 6 core proc), knows ?
