iphone 5s not charging properly, keeps cutting out

hi. title stated, iphone 5s isn't responding charging cable properly. tried many different cables , outlets, worked without issue. it's hooked macbook, , thankfully, charging i've got 100%. last night though, couldn't charge @ all. seems real finicky, if move @ all, chimes , stops charging. of course tried cleaning inside of lightning connector on iphone 5s, , blew out best could.

common hardware issue fail? if possibly software, there full reset recommend may solve problem? try anyway? i'm switching wireless carriers , have iphone 7 soon, want keep viable until then. realized last night how crippled without phone. thank replies.

 

if getting chiming when move cable, it's either bad cable or bad port. finicky if play cable on computer end or phone end? if chiming occurs when play phone end, suspect defective or damaged lightning dock. pretty typical failure , can repaired diy-style.
