Macbook 12" 2015 Retina, Issues?


i've had macbook 12" retina 2015 on year (bought in 2016), , past 2 weeks, it's been shutting off randomly, , starting up. then, past weekend, tried starting up, , nothing worked. plugged in, nothing, no sounds, nothing! went , bought new cable, , charger thinking solve it. nope.

contacted apple support, tried resetting smc , others, still not working. brought book genius bar, , tried 4 chargers, , 4 different cables. said may usb-c port, if not that, possibly logic board. now, applecare expired in june 2017. i'm sol.

have experience situation occurred? what'd fix it? don't have $800 spend have logic board/usb-c fixed (as estimate given apple). might take , buy new macbook.
 

id sell , new or refurbished laptop.

Other Unknown error

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
