in pursuit of "holy grail" multi-purpose mobile device, purchased lenovo yoga book (android) new $270. ticked off many of boxes on list such device should have. few days of mild usage difficult how suited needs.
requirements mobile device (in no particular order)
easily transportable - must small enough able carry around in small case or itself.
dedicated keyboard - because of requirement of small size, onscreen keyboards not practical. take space of limited screen space available.
tablet mode - related touchscreen, ability use device tablet media consumption.
dedicated pointing device - option use pointing device (trackpad/mouse) other touchscreen tasks.
usb accessory support - have need use usb microphone or presentation remote uses usb dongle. support these @ least needed.
usb storage support - have need access large data files on-the-go. remote/cloud access these files not practical.
access file system - being able manage , access files logical groupings needed.
removable storage support (preferred/not show-stopper) - convenient able expand internal storage or swap memory cards out switch "perspectives". (think "office work" vs. "home/leisure")
stylus support (preferred/not show-stopper) - support stylus w/palm rejection nice @ times. support small-tip capacitive stylus helpful.
hdmi support - there times when need dual display support. hardwired hdmi connection preferred universally accessible scenarios in need dual displays.
else own , use(d) android version of yoga book? if so, have experiences been like? of challenges? of unexpected pleasant surprises? did make use of traditional pad/pen elements?

i interested in (more windows version of it) when first came out, decided against it. put me off was: - screen ratio. small device this, dislike 16:9 , 16:10. have liked 3:2 or 4:3 - placement of pen digitiser layer in touch keyboard. i'd have in screen direct writing/drawing on screen.

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
