Running High Sierra - But it keeps trying to and failing to reinstall on boot

hi guys,

posted on apple support forums got absolutely no help, i'm hoping community have here has few ideas remedying issue.

running mid 2015, 15" macbook pro retina (2.8ghz i7, 1tb ssd, amd radeon r9 m370x 2 gb,
intel iris pro 1536 mb, 16gb ddr3 ram). i'm sure none of particularly relevant in instance, covering bases background info possible.

cut long story short, i've been running high sierra pretty since launched publicly, full release, didn't have beta @ point. i'm running version 10.13 (17a405) (i believe there's update on app store i'm avoiding @ moment due current issue).

if ever reboot machine (or switch off 1 day, turn on next) long boot sequence followed high sierra install screen, , message stating high sierra has failed install. every time reboot have hold down option/alt , select macintosh hd mac boot , avoid failed installation, there boot option there install high sierra.

error message says cannot find installer in applications folder, case installed , deleted automatically.

looking around mac on root of macintosh hd partition there folder called 'macos install data' locked out etc cannot delete. folder believe should auto delete once high sierra has installed. if try delete warning pops saying these files required os. have since managed delete majority of contents of folder using array of terminal commands (note i'm no wizard terminal, used 1 or 2 commands knew change read/write permissions , force delete etc).

having deleted majority of these files, left file called 'index.sproduct' , folder called 'locked files' cannot open don't have permission, despite i've tried in terminal.

note deleting these files hasn't helped remedy failed install boot sequence.

other thing of note when using disk utility i've noticed there new partition on mac called disk0s4 weighing in @ 471.9 mb, i'm unable delete said partition message 'you can not remove volume because previous volume can not resized.' i'm not sure if related high sierra issues or bootcamp related thing, use bootcamp on mac.

so, answers on postcard please! massively appreciated!

i would:
1. download latest installer of 10.13.1
2. create bootable usb flashdrive version of installer getting 16gb (or larger) flashdrive , 1 of following free apps: "boot buddy", "diskmaker x", or "install disk creator"
3. boot flashdrive, re-install os way.
