i have similar problem 5:1 mac. has 2 samsung evos in raid os via pcie. however, have startup disks in sata ii slots , external usb drive high sierra installed (created using 'install disk creator') connected 4k monitor, screen stays blank connected mini projector, 720p output shows apple splash screen. have reset pram, nvram. have tried booting in recovery mode , to boot selector screen these don't appear work. when try, remains on apple splash screen no boot progress bar. have stock graphics card (radeon 5770) ideas? in past upgraded os on non-raid disk , ccc pcie raid afterwards. time, can't option.   you might try removing every drive , peripheral save single spinner; try boot recovery. if doesn't work, try install snow leopard dvd. - able run apple diagnostics?   Forums ...

recently mbp had go in service. wiped hd , had difficulty getting time machine recover. after several attempts , going couple of months got there. fortunately info had changed backed in other locations. nightmare. have 1tb of icloud, dropbox, , couple of external hard drives. best approach backing laptop?   i sure pages of answers , opinions on this, here 2 cents laptop up. use (and recommend) carbon copy cloner make on dedicated drive (wd-ultra) storage of mbp - not fan of "time machine". super duper great option. said, use ccc make weekly manual ups ccc first takes time after newer files need updated faster updating. find useful split data system , have 3 separate backup's - 1) system 2)data 3)media (pictures , music) - have media files on separate shared drive, not on mbp separate up.   Forums ...

i cut cord (tv only, still need cord content). have tried hulu (all variants), directv now, sling, have netflix , prime videos, , trying ps vue now. such can 1 or 2 channels want? directv find cumbersome , not work well. hulu favorite far, doesn’t grant me access log in discovery go app. ps vue gives me discovery go, can’t nick jr kids. i’m keeping dtv because at&t account $10. didn’t care sling, maybe need give look. hulu great, said, can’t discovery go. upgraded internet 150 mbps (usually tests @ 175ish) , unlimited data (xfinity limits 1 tb, , streaming content , 4 kids , wife, using right @ 1 tb every month , going on 3 out of 5 months. chatted comcast last night , keep speed , unlimited , normal 140 channel package $35/mo more i’m at. i’m paying $44 hulu without commercials. ps vue $40. guess @ point best option hulu + comcast no comcast boxes. 1 thing comcast doesn’t give ability log in nick jr app; seems hulu works that. crazy how th...
