yes, that's 1 of issues had.
issue how keyboard's designed, there's metal piece underneath keys produce popping sound when laptop's warm. had similar problem in addition faulty key double typed letters or didn't type @ all. scheduled appointment apple store genius bar , shipped out repair.
got unit different keyboard, 2017 model , have not had problem since. having repaired main suggestion you. took apple 6 days me , live in hawaii.
if want test heat issue, download , install smcfancontrol , set fans run @ speed keep temps down. if notice popping sounds disappear, that's describing. in end still suggest have repaired more permanent fix. hawaii's quite warm year long, heat related problem show me.

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
