reading here crazy stories failing keyboards, got me worried, if should keep 1 or 2015 model?
guy keep laptop time (last time got mb pro mid 2010 model), ready newer 1 now. since want keep longer time, keyboard biggest problem worry about? started 2015 model of 13" mbp, looks apple refurbished site doesn't have them, , 15" available.
on other hand... ebay has lot of them used , without warranty left.
welcome, , thank you.
why not keep year , judge then? if have 0 issues know, if couple ac. keyboards aren't failing per-se, it's more tight tolerance means small particles can wedged , cause keys become defective. issue keyboard, it's mbp uses such small clearance it's 'issue'. clean regularly , use compressed air , it's not problem, haven't had single stuck key in year i've had mine. there other reports not of keys 'deforming' through heat , such, apple have replaced. either way warranty , aftercare should protect you.
basically, if love computer , worried potential don't let make buy older computer. screen delaminate on older one, keyboard still mess up, virtually still go wrong computer buy. if buy older 1 no warranty you're out of luck. alternatively if must buy older 1 keep eye out refurb, @ least it'll have warranty.

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
hi there! long time reader, first time poster! wondering if might able me out question. 2013 mbp w/ retina met unceremonious end courtesy of water damage. cost repair far worthwhile purchased replacement instead. however, turned out ssd (768gb!) appears ok. guy @ genius bar suggested third party external casing use (a) access data (since said apple charges $90cad or transfer over) , (b) use ssd external drive in future. kind enough remove ssd me. i found below option: https://eshop.macsales.com/item/owc/mau3envoypro/ i'm wondering if there other less expensive alternatives? couldn't find else online. owc enclosure not outrageously expensive i'm looking thrifty since don't plan on making use of it. thank much! i in similar situation, 2013 500gb blade ssd after buying used rmbp mid 2015. noticed ssd installed 2013, complained , got later faster ssd plus keep ...
