Is 15" MBP (mid-2015) worth it?


i spilled water on 13" macbook pro 2017 managed price out of when sold local vendor. money , additional
$100-200, considering buying used 15" macbook pro (mid-2015) with following specs:
  • 2.2ghz intel core i7
  • 16gb ddr3
  • 256gb flash storage
  • no discreet gpu, intel iris pro
  • apple care until april 2019
some of things consider:
  • i don't video editing, not need discreet gpu
  • ram more important run vms
  • accessories previous setup excluded consideration
do think idea buy item?
 

i have one, same specs yours. love it! no dongles. great "reliable" keyboard. sd card slot. ten hour battery life. big, bright, crisp screen. runs photoshop , office without hitch. can't go wrong 2015 mbp in opinion, if comes applecare.

Other Unknown error

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
