which RAM to buy


hi,
sorry if question have been asked millions of time. not able find suitable thread. have 2017 imac 27inch. wondering (and cheap) ram should buy? have 8gb , want add 16gb more.

don't buy "cheap" memory! paid close $2000.00 imac, it's idea don't think buy quality memory if it's more expensive?

recommend buying memory owc (www.macsales.com) or crucial. amazon sells crucial memory may find bargain there.

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
