apple referred me online partner, brightstar trading in ipad apple store gift card. quoted me $190 trade in @ store, wasn't prepared purchase product @ time. sent brightstar, , never heard ... checked online see status of trade in, after fumbling around website, found quoted me $0. (but never got email it.) rejected quote & requested return of ipad, hasn't been returned , it's been 4 business days. tried emailing week ago, no reply. i'll have call on monday.
it's been frustrating, weird process. if weren't affiliated apple, concerned.
i have had experiences them, still wouldn't consider reliable. if send brightstar expect 50/50 chance of device being rejected or damaged. hope gave them call , had sorted out.
pros:
easy trade in products - ship box prepaid shipping label , easy instructions
answer phone if call , speak person (although don't apart telling why rejected in more detail)
cons:
"affiliated" apple, apple doesn't in way if there's issue
in agreement they're not responsible if device damaged, doesn't seem ups responsible if it's damaged during shipping. because brightstar 1 paying shipping , don't care pursue reimbursement on behalf.
