iPhone X - Poor battery life


is else experiencing poor battery life on iphone x?

right i'm losing between 20-30% of battery life per hour pretty basic usage (social media, texting, snapchat, sort of thing). phone feels running little warm.

have background app refresh turned off, have "hey siri" listening function turned off, kill background apps when i'm not using them, have screen brightness turned way (i realize doesn't cause, shouldn't destroy battery on it's own), i'm not streaming videos or gaming or that.

i've had phone 4 days. think spotlight indexing finished now, wouldn't suspect of being battery draining culprit.
 

well, social media apps kill battery, seems high on snapchat , facebook 60 mins straight.

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
