iCloud photo library and previously synced photos


hi all,

planning on using icloud photo library, before started have question. i've been manually syncing photos across devices using itunes, so, photos library on mac, i've synced albums ios devices, , copy every photo i've taken on iphones mac's photos library. given setup, icloud photo library end bunch of duplicates? should undo manual syncing each device has unique set of photos? or icloud smart enough not copy these duplicates?

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
