All iPads Updating My Mini


i have older ipad mini (a1432 model). bought 4 years ago son use on long trip. more recently, uses entertainment, , school work.

i’ve updated far it’ll go , i’ve noticed he’s starting have problems apps. can resolved restarting device, while others can’t use, it’ll load , close before can anything.

i’ve decided new tablet him. i’d rather stay apple i’ve invested in apps , media him. also, of family has ipads facetime them. (this important because live 3000miles apart)

question have, ipad going give me better life span money invested? 4 years use out of mini 4? should go 1 of pros @ point?

thoughts or advice welcomed.
 

you should 5th generation ipad (2017).

ipad mini 4 has been on market more 2 years, means half way through product lifecycle. uses processor introduced in 2014.

Other Unknown error

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
