Magic Mouse: Bad Tracking/Bluetooth - Help


lately late 2015 mighty mouse came imac doesn't move @ all. doesn't track well. turned on , off again, rebooted computer, , made sure charged. ideas work? i've had switch wired mouse because bad @ tracking. don't see dust or in laser/tracker area on bottom. thanks.
 

what kind of surface using on? had same issues mine when used right on top of ikea jerker desk. ive since gone using on 1 of black "self-healing craft mats" , problem went away.

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
