iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011) SATA 6? Data Doubler?


hi!!

im looking data doubler unit, , see sata bus internal drive attached sata 6gb , optical drive connection sata 3gb. question this:

if data doubler, can install spinning hdd unit shipped in that, , install sata 6gb ssd on hard drive bus. doing ill able take advantage of sata 6gb speed portion of sata bus. make sense? or totally wrong in thinking , trying set way?

depends unit is. if comes usb3 or thunderbolt, external hard drive fill bill.

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
