iPhone 8(+) System DNS Services using tons of data

i have 8+ running 11.2.1 on at&t. since got 2 months ago cellular data usage has been high makes no sense use phone same old 7+, on wifi. under settings - cellular reset data usage week ago when monthly bill restarted , system services @ 469 mb, of 427 mb dns services. out of total data usage of 881 mb in last week - is, dns services accounted half of cellular data in 1 week. makes no sense.

know how dns services stop using data?

you might have app going haywire. try killing apps , monitoring usage.

turning off background app refresh might good.

, perhaps "reset network settings"

i'd try killing apps first.
