Where's the HS installer file?


i downloaded high sierra update app store on mac pro running sierra. after few seconds, 19.7mb "install macos high sierra.app" file downloaded applications folder. after running installer, downloaded 10 minutes , displayed "ready install" window. however, @ point, installer file in applications folder still 19.7mb. expecting full installer usual, copy before continuing upgrade (i'm upgrading several macs , want 10.13.1 installer file).

on mac can find full 10.13.1 installer file, or have changed behavior time around 19.7mb "pre-installer" available?

also, 10.13.1 file not yet available @ https://support.apple.com/en_us/downloads.
 

very strange. downloaded entire 5gb file on macbook pro less 30 minutes ago app store. installed (from previous beta), rebooted, , installer removed. did try direct link file forum?

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
