For non iphone x users who want hidden notifications on the lockscreen


i discovered few days ago. when want read text message on lockscreen , quick reply you. turn on display , touch home button see content of text message. , can leave text message on lockscreen, turn off display , hides content of message. works notifications. don't know this, thought might idea more people know.

steps:
  1. head settings - notifications - show previews , select "when unlocked"
  2. settings - general - accessibility - home button - , toggle off "rest finger open"
 

this kind of access notifications on lock screen 1 of main reasons behind whole change swipe unlock functionality being removed.

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
