Mac mini end 2009 Resale : need help to install fresh OS


hi everybody!
sell end 2009 mac mini has been upgraded 2 years ago 8gb ram upgrade , data doubler kit 500gb ssd macsales.com. ssd (with os) replace original hd , original hd replacing superdrive. mac mini running smoothly el capitan (10.11.6).

install fresh os sell mac mini. plugged usb external dvd player mac os x install dvd (10.6.2) had when bought mac mini.
if boot ssd el capitan can't launch mac os x installer (10.6.2)!
tried boot mac os x install dvd (10.6.2) , of course can install software see hd , not ssd. why?
have clean snow leopard install on hd , el capitan datas on ssd.
of course sell computer have clean install on ssd , delete on hd.
there way copy snow leopard install ssd , delete el capitan install? if there no way how can delete personal datas el capitan install?

i don't know why of things aren't working, feel making harder has trying install old os. i'd do:
  1. download elcap installer (or use elcap recovery partition if there).
  2. install elcap on ssd, using erase option.
  3. boot ssd recovery , wipe hdd.
you have clean install of os x on ssd , files deleted both drives.

Other Unknown error

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
