Upgrade Questions on going from 15" MBP to a 13" MBP


i have mid 2012 15” macbook pro 2.3ghz i7. has 16gb of ram, 1tb solid state drive , amd radeon graphics card. still plenty fast kind of want 13” macbook pro. i’m looking @ specs on new ones , i’m not sure less $2000 if can on similar performance. guys think? should upgrade?

honestly, stick current model. downgrading smaller model, if few years newer, may show decrease in performance. also, won't find new 13-inch mbp 16gb of ram , 1tb storage under $2,000. current machine should still last bit longer, amount of memory available.

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
