type of credit check same regardless of whether upgrading , on programme or joining programme first time?

i'm looking sell iphone , pay off loan myself instead of giving apple , wondering if require me go through new hard credit check or not.

yes, it's brand new credit check (regardless of whether settle current agreement). current agreement stay on file 6 years date settled.
