iTunes Libraries Stored on a Cloud Based Service


for variety of reasons, i'm sort of tired of having manually keep itunes library in sync across multiple computers. i'm tired of having 1 single computer able sync itunes library ios devices @ time.

remedy this, i'm looking stashing itunes library on cloud-based file service (i.e. dropbox, onedrive, icloud drive, etc.). have insight or experience doing sort of set-up?
 

there ways synch itunes media between mac systems via file system synchronization, carbon copy cloner being one. sort of waste of disk space , little inconvenient, although have fire copy task(s) when make changes library.

there severe limitations, such media optimized [likely degraded], , not fit large libraries.

best bet setup plex server either on mac or nas. there other servers out there i'm familiar plex. nas library maintenance on mac (i pointed itunes music folder copy on nas seemed work, maybe more experience can comment). set plex server, either on mac or nas , point itunes content. purchased nas has plex server don't have keep mac running, both power , security reasons. copy music folder nas via carbon copy cloner serves backup copy of music library. or put plex on 1 of macs , keep running.

plex has iphone , ipad clients can access library remotely, if want take risk of opening port in firewall. can done relatively safely, require work. plex has advantage supports codecs itunes not, such blu-ray movies have ripped mkv. there additional programs such plexpy give data summary options not available in plex itself.

OWC Envoy Pro SSD Enclosure - Alternatives?
