Mac mini 2012 Firmware


hi all

guys machine running? hdmi port not pick signal, mdp works fine!
found out sold machine , new owner said couldn't no image via hdmi port!
apple said "needs" new logic board @ £340!! f that!

looked @ firmware , have

boot rom: mm61.010b.b00
smc: 2.8f0

trying install v1.8 when trying install says don't need it??!

game on mac? although works fine mdp since have had it.
 

that's latest firmware have been installed either sierra's security updates or high sierra , it's later other separate firmware update might find.
unfortunately, apple's diagnosis correct. keep using mdp connection, though.

Other Unknown error

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
