2010 macbook charging/charger issue


my 2010 macbook has been doing odd things charger of late.

connect charger , light orange turns green spend it's life plugged in.

light goes out , still has lightning bolt on battery on menu bar.
when light goes out tip of charger gets hot, uncomfortable touch!

genuine , compatible charger, although use genuine used compat rule out charger.
bought new charging socket , fitted still problems comes back.

it's every time comment charger.
use mac @ work every day , worried fire hazard.

cleaned pads on laptop , charger , nice , clean.
if wiggle tip light comes on again after few minutes goes off again.

screen stays bright , machine says still charging.
cannot afford new mac @ moment, , cant face going 2 year old asus convertible machine!

charger of l shape, maybe fouling case , t shape 1 better?
 

must case or something.

rotated plug other way , stable now.
still little warm plug not hot warm.

light has stayed on too.
cannot use lan, display output or first usb port this.

think need locate t tip magsafe1 charger.

Other Unknown error

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
