i noticed can't make or accept calls macs se running 11.1 (was happening on 11.0.3 earlier week, updated-i should go 11.1.1 asap).
have had issue on 3 macs: 2013 air, 2010 pro (both 10.10.5), , 2014 mini (10.12.6).
signed in icloud , facetime. see call attempt under recents on iphone, , hitting info button shows call canceled.
happening on home network (airport time capsule wi-fi) , i've tried @ work, successful making test call work computer on 10.11, not air. (i experiment more tomorrow, believe work mac on ethernet @ time, not wi-fi.)
annoyingly, calls ring through on home macs, accepting them drops call.
major clue far following line console, once calls fail:
2017-11-12 11:22:23.723 configd[51]: no interface external service id
steps have taken:
hard restarted , shut down iphone
restarted macs
signed in , out of icloud , facetime on devices
turned off 2 factor (since it's built in 10.12 thought may culprit)
changed dns settings automatic @ home
changed isp provided wi-fi
modified service order in system preferences on mac place wi-fi @ top
changed time capsule bridge mode dhcp , nat
restored original hosts file
flushed dns cache
terminal steps here, return
sudo mv /etc/sysctl.conf ~/desktop/sysctl.conf.old
mv: rename /etc/sysctl.conf /users/jonathan/desktop/sysctl.conf.old: no such file or directory
on final line.
have insight on this? i'll test tomorrow @ work well.
