PSA: Turn off 2FA before setting up new phone (or have other devices with you)


i'm in apple iphone upgrade program , went in iphone x store pickup. going had overlooked had 2fa enabled. when came setup new iphone x (already signed out of old phone , erased all), asking 2fa authentication code. had phone when went apple store.

ended having setup new iphone x new phone without restoring , without signing apple id. able codes texted me way. disabled 2fa icloud.com website. had use genius bar mac it.

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
