Rant alert: VERIZON+APPLE=NO IUP ENROLLMENT


for second , last time, verizon has screwed enrollment in iphone upgrade program. tldr, ironic, right?

first time fault, verizon threw fraud alert on me in apple store , refused explain me or apple store personnel. neither explanation @ verizon store or via telephone customer service.

did figure out, fixed it, transferred cell service provider-ship purchased simfree ipx verizon at&t, endured previously-shared hell getting aw on vzn system, , month later decided buy larger memory ipx , enroll in iup program. vzn cust svc really, wanted me sign vzn upgrade program instead , think goal sort of motivation verizon screw many iup/citizen's/apple enrollments possible--this rant part starting.

so, waited till after christmas crazies place online order , go apple store complete enrollment through iup program while picking phone. know research , talking apple personnel sign-up has involve in-store completion collect activation fee (yes, one) , i've been waiting stock show @ store.

last night, sailed through iup process on apple store online. appeared vzn approved, apple approved, citizen's approved loan, , apple store online took money citizen's first payment , taxes on phone , ac+. "we let know when pick phone , complete process," cheery emails said.

morning, email came 10 a.m. brick&mortar apple store--your phone ready. drove 40 miles nearest apple store, waited in mob noisily infects apple store, , showed introduce me apple's latest diversity hire--rainman. nice guy, smarter me miles probably, couldn't connect eyes focused on opposite sidewalls of store , speaks in rhythm not capture--but that's not problem.

problem rainman pulling me through pickup process, pops on little screen prompt like, "a verizon analyst ...(my words, freeking effing-up) ...your purchase.".... rainman "explains," think, means purchase isn't complete , order can't picked up. emails apple aside.

admit, lost , must never go in store again. said, "well, verizon won't explain why. cancel order." rainman: can't cancel, customer gets calling 1-800-my-apple. so, fine, i'll that. goodbye, , yes blindly rush out, furious.

driving 75 mph on tollway, 40 miles home, tell siri call 1800myapple. "i can't call 1-800 numbers," dimwitted male assistant says. ok, call apple inc. little digital cabana boy can do.

waited miles driving "you'll happy" song stop telling me i'm on hold. finally, nice apple cust. svc. voice comes on line, ironically garbled , incoherent due effing poor verizon service in boonies driving through. uninterrupted, tell him whole experience , want cancel order of 12/26.

acknowledges of our 1:01 p.m. cst should seeing emails confirming cancellation within half hour.

none yet, 3:32 p.m. according re-paired aw. sweet red wine good, , home , no longer danger on roads.

figure i'll live through verizon service period necessary free aw time , $100 gift card, at&t go.

i'm not paying vzn penny more have to, activation fees aside.
i'm not going iup program enjoyed 2015-2017 ended final payment 3 weeks before new phones came out not eligible upgrade.
, i'm not again subjecting myself experiencing angela's idea of how brick&mortar apple store should run.
