AirPod controls without Siri?

i’m thinking of getting airpods @ point there things i’d know regarding controls.

use airpods commuting , going place place within central london using underground , buses. don’t idea of using siri commands in circumstances - if work @ - siri has trouble understanding me @ home in quiet environment!

how control airpods without siri? in crowded situations it’s not easy option phone out , headphones use controls.

 

honestly intended use siri 2 times fun/trial purposes since getting airpods (the rest erroneous double taps) , haven’t used since ios 11 update added more functionality airpod double tap setting. set 1 go forward track or , other go track. how have mine setup while using music playlist/library.

if take pod out of ear pauses you.

used have apple watch (long story there) can use watch skip tracks or use crown volume. otherwise use phone volume buttons while in pocket. , if shuffle of songs meh use phone lock screen skip tracks faster.
