Purchasing an Unlocked iPhone X in the US?


i purchase next new phone being iphone x.
got current iphone se gsm shop in europe using sim card carrier.

question is, when purchasing new iphone apple store, says need select carrier.

part bit confusing me. reason being, first need speak selected carrier , select plan options , once done, after can order iphone x? carrier offer me sim card, or read on ordering page, apple provide phone along sim card based on carrier plan?


not want pay monthly price phone, want, unlocked iphone x paying full amount (being $999). that's want.

please explain in detail on steps need take when purchasing new iphone when in us.

 

all need order online, select verizon carrier, , choose “activate later”. no carrier info or contact needed, , phone receive unlocked.

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
