Home NEED HELP WITH HUE BRIDGE CONNECTIVITY!!

hey guys,

dove whole philips hue lighting world , got light strip plus, 2 white , color hue bulbs , hue bridge. did prior research , found out possible connect bridge homes network via network repeater type thing.

here link exact 1 trying use:

set @ home isn’t ideal houses internet modem in roommates room. connected repeater in room , linked wifi. set in client mode , connected bridge via the ethernet cable. getting 3 blue lights on bridge lit steady seem linking network correctly. when on iphone , go hue app, doesn’t seem locate bridge @ all. , yes on same wifi network bridge using iphone.

really hope can working within own room. if not have ride of lights

can 1 here please lend me hand?

 

i want know sure whether repeater working. have computer connect ethernet port confirm?

i'm not sure client mode correct way set repeater. expect called bridge mode. double-check that. point don't want repeater doing network addresses. connected repeater's ethernet port should getting network address house's internet modem.

finally, before return hue, connect directly modem in roommate's room. it'll work fine.
