iMac Pro wont connect with Tp-Link TL-SG105 Switch


hey guys,

have been happy imac pro (10 core, 64gb ram, 1tb) full week now. today decided network switch in home better hardline speeds.

have tp-link sg105 5 port switch simple of device can get.

connected ps4 pro, apple tv (4k)...and imac pro! both ps4 , apple tv work intended...getting great download , upload speed.

imac pro refuses communicate. made 4 different cat6 cables , test clean. thing switch flashing green light @ 1.5 second interval. imac doesn't recognize ethernet port when plug switch (ethernet not connected, in network panel). connect when run main line directly port.

there specific protocols switch needs support imac pro??

thought strange other 2 devices connected function properly

missing here?
 

might want go network settings on imp , change automatic 1gb. may not negotiating right speed.

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
