Scrolling Lag on 13" MacBook Pro w/Touch Bar and High Sierra


hi,

have odd issue i'm wondering if else can replicate.

have 13" late 2016 macbook pro. after period of inactivity, touch bar , keyboard backlight dim save power. after has happened, if attempt scroll on trackpad or mouse first interaction after has dimmed, there noticeable problem results in page jerking point have scrolled without animation. app 'jump' once touch bar has returned full brightness, , scroll normally.

happens in safari, messages, finder, preview, , presume other apps.

other mention of online can find 1 reddit thread, suggests may affect 13" mbps, 1 poster suggesting affects i5 cpus. have 2.9ghz i5, can't find source claim.

can't remember happening in sierra, might high sierra bug?

appreciate if else share experience, , whether widespread issue, or caused software on laptop. tried boot safe mode, when loading bar on startup screen fills, seems hang there. left 10 minutes , still hadn't booted , not sure why.

 

just in case has same issue, have submitted bug apple , it's been marked duplicate - they're @ least aware of it.

temporary workaround, i've set keyboard backlight dim after 1 minute.

Will 10.3.3 be last for iPad4?
