iPhone X / iOS 11.1 issue


i posted in iphone thread, re-posting here because wasn't sure in category issue falls...

installing music on phone when froze , sent me home screen. when tried reopen app showed black screen , crash home screen. read various articles, including suggestions reset settings.

reset settings, , phone stuck maybe 80% done , has shown no signs of completing reset. suggestions how phone finish resetting? has else run issue new phone? wasn't sure if iphone x issue or ios issue..

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
